Stump grinding

The final stage after tree felling

After a tree has been felled, the felled tree must be grubbed before grass can be sown or another tree planted on the site.

The tree stump removal stage

We have several methods for removing stumps, adapted to the location and type of tree. Our experts will recommend the most effective and cost-effective method.

Grubbing is carried out using a machine that crushes the stump into small pieces, including superficial roots, to a depth of 6 to 12 inches, enabling grass to be seeded. We are able to work in confined spaces or close to buildings. For stumps partially uprooted by winds or storms, grubbing is not always possible, so we use a backhoe to completely remove the stump.

Carpenter ants love it

Carpenter ants are attracted to dead tree stumps because of the rotten wood, ideal for nest building, and the abundant food sources they offer, while also providing protection from the elements and predators. It’s also worth noting that a stump infested with ants or other parasites can become a food source for pests such as raccoons or skunks.

A complete cleaning

Not only do we ensure complete site clean-up after each grubbing by removing all stump residue from the land, but we also undertake to thoroughly inspect the area to ensure that no debris is left behind. Our goal is to leave the site in pristine condition, ready for your next project or landscaping project.
